Founders Brewing Co. is adding a new packaging option for a seasonal that debuted earlier this year.
The beer in question is Azacca IPA, a 7 percent ABV IPA brewed exclusively with Azacca hops, which was named after the Haitian God of agriculture. The IPA was first released in January packaged in six-packs of 12-ounce bottles, when it replaced Black Rye (7.5 percent ABV) as the Grand Rapids, Mich.-based brewery’s seasonal that was available through March.
According to a label filed with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), Azacca IPA will be packaged in 12-ounce cans. An email sent to the brewery for additional information was not immediately returned.
