Founders Brewing Co. has announced its 2018 release calendar and there are a number of surprises on the list.

First, the Grand Rapids, Mich.-based brewery will be moving both Breakfast Stout and Backwoods Bastard from seasonal releases to its year-round lineup, with the former scheduled to ship in January and the latter hitting retailers shelves starting in April. In addition, Founders will not be shipping a number of popular releases this year, including Imperial Stout, Curmudgeon and reDANKulous.

The brewery is also bringing back a fan favorite in May: Double Trouble, a 9.4 percent ABV double IPA that debuted in 2008.

In addition, Founders will be unveiling a brand new taproom series named the Mothership Series, which will be populated with various beers that only be available for carryout at the brewery’s taprooms in six-packs of 12-ounce bottles.

Next, Founders will be adding both six-packs of 12-ounce cans for its entire existing seasonal lineup, which includes Solid Gold, All Day IPA, Rubaeus, Mosaic Promise, Azacca IPA and PC Pils.

Finally, the brewery is adding four brand new as yet unnamed beers to its Barrel-Aged Series, which usually includes six different releases throughout the year.
