This September, Founders Brewing Co. is adding a packaging option that it has never sold before.

The Grand Rapids, Mich.-based brewery will be adding a 16-ounce can in four-packs option for two of its most popular IPAs: All Day IPA and Unraveled IPA. While Founders has offered 12- and 19.2-ounce cans for a while, this will be the first time the brewery has released this particular package size.

“Getting into 4-packs of 16oz cans with our flagship brand, All Day IPA, and our new juicy IPA, Unraveled IPA, is really exciting to deliver to our fans,” said Sandy Anaokar, vice president of marketing at Founders, in a press release. “This pack type has become more and more popular over the last few years, especially in the Northeast US, since it allows consumers a shareable pack type that offers more beer per can.”

In addition to the new option, All Day IPA is currently sold in six- and 12-packs of 12-ounce bottles, six- and 15-packs of 12-ounce cans, 19.2-ounce cans and on draft. In addition, Unraveled IPA is currently available in six-packs of 12-ounce cans and on draft.

According to Founders, four-packs of 16-ounce cans of both All Day IPA and Unraveled IPA are scheduled to begin shipping to retailers in the “Great Lakes and East Coast regions” beginning in September 2020, while all other regions in the US should see the new packaging option “beginning in Spring 2021.”
