A Foothills Brewing Co. stout that was originally released two years ago is coming back from the dead.
Dead and Berried is a 10.5 percent ABV imperial stout conditioned on blackberries and aged in bourbon barrels for “a few months.” The stout debuted in 2016 as a draft-only option that was aged in barrels that previously held Buffalo Trace, but this will be the first time it has been packaged.
According to a post on the Winston-Salem-based brewery’s website, Dead and Berried will available first on draft at its pub and tasting room on April 13, with 22-ounce bottles scheduled to be released on April 14. While the bottle purchase limit will not be announced until the day of sale, Foothill says that it will “not be less than a case.”
An email requesting more details from the brewery was not returned.
