Next month, Foothills Brewing Co. will be releasing one of its most popular creations for the ninth time.

The beer in question is Bourbon Barrel-Aged Sexual Chocolate 2017, a 9.75 percent ABV Russian imperial stout aged in barrels that previously held Buffalo Trace bourbon for “several months.” While the barrel-aged version debuted in 2009, the original incarnation of Sexual Chocolate (9.75 percent ABV) was first released in 2007 and was the brainchild of Foothills owner Jamie Bartholomaus, who named it after a fictitious band in an Eddie Murphy movie.

In addition, the Winston-Salem, N.C.-based brewery released Sexual Chocolate 2017 earlier this year on Jan. 28 with no purchase limit.

According to to a post on Foothills’ website, the latest incarnation of Bourbon Barrel-Aged Sexual Chocolate will be packaged in 22-ounce bottles ($20) and will have a 12 bottle per person purchase limit when it goes on sale at the brewery on Sept. 9.
