Foothills Brewing Co.’s most popular seasonal non-barrel-aged stout is being released in cans for the first time next week.

According to a post on the brewery’s website, 12-ounce cans as well as 22-ounce bottles of Sexual Chocolate 2020 will be released on Jan. 25 and Jan. 24 respectively at the Winston-Salem, N.C. brewery. The release on Jan. 24 will consist of 22-ounce bottles priced at $9.99 each and no purchase limit, while Saturday’s release will consist of four-packs of 12-ounce cans priced at $12.99 each.

Sexual Chocolate is a 9.7 percent ABV Russian imperial stout that was first conceived and brewed back in 1996 when Jamie Bartholomaus, the owner of Foothills, was in college. He and a few friends home brewed the first iteration of this beer to celebrate Valentine’s Day and named it for a band from an Eddie Murphy movie. It was first brewed commercially in 2007 and first released in 22-ounce bottles in 2008 and every year since.

Sexual Chocolate typically sees limited distribution and there is also a barrel-aged version that is typically released later in the year.
