Flying Dog Brewery out of Frederick, Md. is re-releasing its limited release Mango Habanero IPA this month as the Fever Dream IPA.
Originally this beer was released in 2014 as part of its Brewhouse Rarities Series and just went by the name Mango Habanero IPA. Flying Dog started with its Raging Bitch, a 7 percent ABV and 70 IBU Belgian-style IPA as a base beer, but added habanero peppers to the mash and fresh mango to fermentation.
Deciding that the Mango Habanero IPA should be released year-round, Flying Dog selected a name that “invokes the feeling of conquering an invading tribe, we now bring you Fever Dream.”
Fever Dream will be released tomorrow at the brewery’s tasting room at an event beginning at 3 p.m.
The beer will then be shipped out to market on Feb. 29 in six-packs.
