After being replaced in Firestone Walker Brewing Co.’s Proprietor’s Vintage Series last year, §ucaba is back.

This weekend, the Paso Robles, Calif.-based brewery will be releasing §ucaba 2018, a 12.5 percent English barleywine-style ale brewed with munton’s pale, crisp maris otter pale, Munich, dark and light crystal and chocolate malts along with Spalter Select hops before being aged in bourbon barrels. The barleywine debuted in 2008 as part of Firestone Walker’s Proprietor’s Vintage Series but was replaced in the brewery’s schedule last year by Bravo barrel-aged imperial brown ale.

According to a post on Firestone Walker’s Facebook page, Sucaba 2018 will be packaged in 12-ounce bottles with 7,300 cases produced. It is being released at all of the brewery’s locations on Feb. 10 before being shipped to retailers across Firestone Walker’s distribution network.
