This weekend, Firestone Walker Brewing Co. is releasing two different beers aged in wine barrels, including a new incarnation of one of the brewery’s most popular stouts.

The first beer is Napa Parabola, an 11.3 precent ABV imperial stout aged in retired red wine barrels from a “prestigious Napa Valley winery” will be packaged in 12-ounce bottles. As the name suggests, the stout uses the Paso Robles, Calif.-based brewery’s Parabola as its base and joins a number of different Parabola variants that have been released over the years, including Scotch Parabola, Coconut Rye Parabola and Parabajava.

In addition, Firestone Walker will be releasing 2019 Napa Saison, a saison farmhouse ale that has also been aged in retired red wine barrels. The new ale will also be packaged in 12-ounce bottles.

According to a post on Firestone Walker’s Twitter page, both 2019 Napa Parabola and 2019 Napa Saison are scheduled to be released at the brewery on May 11.

An email sent to the brewery for pricing, distribution and purchase limit information was not immediately returned.
