Firestone Walker Brewing Co.’s most popular stout is getting another variant.

Coconut Rye Parabola is a 12.2 precent ABV Russian imperial stout aged in rye whiskey barrels between six-nine months and conditioned on coconut. As the name suggests, the stout uses the Paso Robles, Calif.-based brewery’s Parabola as its base, a Russian imperial stout brewed with hallertau and Zeus hops along with nine different malts.

Firestone Walker has released a number of Parabola variants in the past, including Parabajava and Scotch Parabola.

In an email, Jemma Wilson, media manager at Firestone Walker, told Tenemu that Coconut Rye Parabola 2018 will be packaged in 12-ounce bottles with 300 cases available when it is released at the brewery in mid-March. While pricing is still not finalized, Wilson indicated that each 12-ounce bottle will likely retail for $10.99 and that there will be a 12 bottle per person purchase limit.
