After Nitro Merlin Milk Stout debuted in cans earlier this year, another draft-only nitro release from Firestone Walker Brewing Co. is making the jump this fall.

That beer is Nitro DBA—which stands for Double Barrel Ale—a version of the Paso Robles, Calif.-based brewery’s Double DBA pale ale (5 percent ABV) with one major change: it is carbonated using nitrogen instead of the more common CO2. While the regular Double DBA debuted in 1996, the nitro version was released as a draft-only option in 2016.

In an email, Jemma Wilson, media manager at Firestone Walker, told Tenemu that Nitro DBA cans will be distributed exclusively in the brewery’s Beer Before Glory Mixed Pack, which will include three each of four different beers packaged in 12-ounce cans:

  • Nitro DBA
  • Firestone Lager
  • Union Jack IPA
  • Luponic Distortion IPA

According to Wilson, the Beer Before Glory Mixed Pack will is scheduled to be released in the fall and will be shipped to retailers across the brewery’s distribution network “for a limited time.”

Update (May 15, 2018) — This post was updated to include details on the release date, packing information and distribution details. It was originally published on May 2, 2018.
