Figueroa Mountain Brewing Co.’s newest release is named after a rap song from an iconic artist in the 1990s.

According to filings with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), the Buellton, Calif.-based brewery will be releasing Gimme that Nut, a 6 percent ABV brown ale brewed with English-style hops.

“It’s like that and it’s like this…. we brewed a Brown Nut Ale that you just can’t miss,” reads the beer label. “With notes of hazelnut and Olde English-style hops, the taste will get you going so the party never stops.”

The new beer is named after the Eazy-E song “Gimme That Nutt” that was featured on the It’s On (Dr. Dre) 187um Killa album released in 1993. It is also the third release in the brewery’s Hip Hoppy Series, which are dry-hopped creations that “pay tribute to some of the most iconic names in hip hop music,” joining Czech Yo Self pilsner (5.5 percent ABV) and Weiss Weiss Baby crystal weiss ale (4. 9 percent ABV).

As with the rest of the beers in the Hip Hoppy Series, Gimme That Nut will be packaged in 12-ounce cans. An email sent to the brewery for additional details was not immediately returned.
