FiftyFifty Brewing Co. has is opening a new membership program meant to allow people access to some of its new releases without having to visit the brewery at specific times.
The program, dubbed Brewers’ Intent, will cost $175 per year, and includes six barrel-aged bottles per year, one of which will be an Eclipse variant that will not be available to the general public, three of which will not be distributed and one that will be exclusive to members. Also included will be custom growler, a merchandise item, 10 percent off both merchandize and on-premise beer purchases and the ability to purchase “additional bottles of the varieties already included with your membership, barrel aged and non barrel aged bottles both distributed or only available through the pub, early experiment styles.”
“The idea behind Brewers’ Intent is to really let our brewers do what they do best – create and experiment with amazing barrel-aged beers”, said Alicia Barr, co-founder and President of FiftyFifty Brewing, in a press release. “We have some sour projects in the works, as well as many unique barrel types, and who knows what other incredible blends and concoctions we’ll come up with.”
In addition to some experimental barrel-aged projects, examples of bottles that may be included with memberships are Annularity, a bourbon barrel-aged blonde barleywine, Old Conundrum On Wood, a bourbon barrel=aged barley wine, Barrel-Aged Trifecta, a barrel-aged tripel and non-distributed Eclipse variants such as 30-year rum, single malt whisky and cognac, among others.
The Truckee, Calif.-based brewery’s program will release included bottles to members four times a year in March, May, September and November. The bottles can either be picked up or shipped within the state of California and proxies will be allowed with proof of permission and identification.
