Starting today, people who wish to purchase beer on Facebook and Instagram pages will now have to go somewhere else.

According to a story on CNN.com, Facebook and its subsidiary Instagram have announced a ban on the sales, transfer and gifting of alcohol, even in private groups that have been specifically set up for that those purposes. The action is part of a broader change the social network will enact today that is also intended to limit content related to alcohol, e-cigarette and tobacco products.

Those actions include a number of changes, including:

  • Banning any private sales, trades or gifting of alcohol products, including giveaways.
  • Any alcohol-related brand pages will now be restricted to those who are 18 and over.
According to CNN.com, the company may remove groups that it deems are not complying with the new rules by using “a combination of technology, human review and reports from our community to find and remove any content that violates these policies.”

Facebook’s policies already prohibit the sale of alcohol and tobacco in its Marketplace.
