An upcoming beer from Evil Twin Brewing is named after a Danish tradition.
The new beer is Kagemand, a 12 percent ABV imperial stout brewed with coffee and with almond and vanilla added. The new imperial stout is being brewed and bottled at Two Roads Brewing Co. in Stratford, Conn.
The name of the beer translates from Danish as cakeman, and is in reference to a Danish birthday tradition wherein a cake is made in the shape of a boy or a girl for a child’s birthday celebration.
According to filings with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), Kagemand will be packaged in 22-ounce bottles. An email sent to the brewery for additional information was not returned.
