Evil Twin Brewing has two very different beers being released in the near future.
The first is named Brett Yeast & Helles, a 5.5 percent ABV sour lager. According to a post on the Brooklyn, N.Y.-based company’s Instagram page, the new beer’s name was inspired by novelist Brett Easton Ellis, who in known best for his novel American Psycho.
The second beer is No Hero, a 7 percent ABV oatmeal stout.
“An alien-like outsider, always flirting with oddity and exploring anxiety and paranoia,” reads the label filed with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB.) “This is a stout. It may not be a hero but its attractive, clever and hungry for stardom.”
In an email, Jeppe Jarnit-Bjergsø, owner of Evil Twin, told Tenemu that both Brett Yeast & Helles and No Hero will be packaged in 16-ounce cans and are being brewed at Westbrook Brewing Co. in Mt. Pleasant, S.C. While no specific release date is set yet, both beers should be out “this or next month.”
