Evil Twin Brewing and Lervig Aktiebryggeri are going even bigger.
The Brooklyn, N.Y.-based company has brewed an amped up version of its Big Ass Money Stout it is calling Even More Big Ass Money Stout. Like the original beer that was released last year, the new incarnation is an imperial stout that was brewed at Lervig Aktiebryggeri in Stavanger, Norway on April 6 with pizza and money as well as invert sugar, yeast, malts and hops.
However, unlike the original version that topped out at 17.5 percent ABV, the newest beer is scheduled to reach close to 20 percent ABV.
According to Jeppe Jarnit-Bjergsø, owner of Evil Twin, Even More Big Ass Money Stout will be packaged in 12-ounce bottles when it is released after it is finished aging in bourbon barrels. “Since we barrel-age it, it could be up to a year,” Jarnit-Bjergsø told Tenemu in an email.
