Sometimes the only way to deal with the heat of summer is to look forward to the cooler days of fall. In that vein, Epic Brewing Co. has begun planning at least one variant for their lineup of pumpkin beers.

According to the label filed with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), the Salt Lake City, Utah-based brewery will be releasing Imperial Pumpkin Porter, an 8.5 percent ABV imperial porter brewed with “pumpkin and spices” as well as vanilla from Madagascar before being aged in “hand-selected” whiskey barrels.

The porter is the newest release in Epic’s Exponential Series, which consists of different beers that include both ales and lagers that are sold at different times throughout the year, with the availability of each release varying depending on the batch.

Imperial Pumpkin Porter will be packaged in 22-ounce bottles. An email sent to Epic Brewing seeking additional detail was not immediately returned.
