Ecliptic Brewing’s newest beer combines two of owner and head brewmaster John Harris’ two passions: brewing and astronomy.
The Portland, Ore.-based brewery will be releasing Electra Framboos, a 6.5 percent ABV Belgian-style ale brewed with raspberries and cacao nibs that is named for a star in the Pleiades cluster.
“Summer seasonals tend to be drinkable session beers, and we wanted to create something that people could enjoy as the hot weather begins to wane,” said Harris in a press release. “The flavors in Electra Framboos make it a perfect transitional beer.”
According to the press release, Electra Framboos will be packaged in 22-ounce bottles and will go on sale tomorrow across Ecliptic’s entire distribution network.
