The third incarnation of DuClaw Brewing Co.’s Hop Continuum series just happens to use three different hops.

Hop Continuum No. 3 will be a 9 percent ABV double IPA that incorporates cascade, Columbus and centennial hops into the finished brew. This will be the third release in the Baltimore, Md.-based-based brewery’s Hop Continuum series, which started in early 2015 and is “dedicated to the celebration and exploration of the limitless flavoring and aroma variations possible with hops from around the world.”

The first release in the series, Hop Continuum #1: Blood Orange Gypsy was a 6.5 Columbus, simcoe, chinook, Amarillo, citra, nelson sauvin, and sorachi ace hops along with blood orange juice. Hop Continuum No. 2 was a 6 percent ABV “red IPA hybrid” that was brewed exclusively with mosaic hops.

According to According to Laura Day, vp of sales at DuClaw, Hop Continuum No. 3 will be packaged in six-packs of 12-ounce bottles and will be available across the brewery’s entire distribution footprint starting on Nov. 23.
