Next week, the Devil is coming back to Maryland.
DuClaw Brewing Co. will once again be releasing Devil’s Milk, an 11.5 percent ABV American barleywine that uses a different blend of American hops in each release, making each year’s beer a unique creation. The beer was first brewed in 1998, and this year’s version incorporates both Cascade and Mosaic hops.
“No prayer, exorcism, or divine intervention can save your soul from this full-bodied, dark amber ale as it seduces your palate with sensual fruit esters, a mighty malt backbone,” reads the marketing materials.
According to Laura Day, vp of sales at DuClaw, Devil’s Milk will be packaged in six-packs of 12-ounce bottles and is scheduled to be released on Sept. 7 at an event taking place at DuClaw’s Arundel Mills location before being shipped to retailers across the brewery’s entire distribution network soon after.
