After releasing 31 for the first time in 2008, DuClaw Brewing Co. is doubling down on its newest release.
The Baltimore, Md.-based brewery will be releasing a new seasonal release named 62, a 8.2 percent ABV imperial pumpkin ale that is brewed with Munich, carared and caraaroma malts, flaked oats and galena hops. The new seasonal is a followup to the brewery’s 31 (5.7 percent ABV), a pumpkin spiced Munich dunkel that was first brewed in 2008 as a Halloween one-off release.
“Warm flavors & aromas of cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove; a mild hop presence, and hearty malt backbone combine to create a tantalizing dark brown feast for the senses,” reads the label filed with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB). “Take a sip, and you will…go out of your gourd!”
According to Laura Day, vp of sales at DuClaw, 62 will be packaged in six-packs of 12-ounce bottles and will be released on Sept. 14.
