Dogfish Head Craft Brewery is now shipping its popular fall seasonal that was released for the first time in 1995.

The Milton, Del.-based brewery has released Punkin Ale 2018, a 7 percent ABV brown ale brewed with real pumpkin, brown sugar, allspice, cinnamon and nutmeg. Named after the annual Punkin Chunkin event that is held in Delaware, the ale joins three other seasonal releases in Dogfish Head’s lineup this year: Romantic Chemistry IPA, Dragons & YumYums and Liquid Truth Serum IPA.

“We’ve been brewing Punkin Ale for over two decades, since long before there was a whole category of pumpkin beer, and have seen sales grow each and every year,” said Sam Calagione, ceo and founder of Dogfish Head, in a press release. “I think it’s because the complexity and authenticity of the recipe has remained world-class since we first brewed it, as it’s not made with pumpkin flavoring or concentrates – we use fresh, all-natural culinary ingredients, and that makes a big difference.”

According to Dogfish Head, Punkin Ale 2018 is packaged in six-packs of 12-ounce bottles that are shipping to retailers across the brewery’s entire distribution network now.
