The newest incarnation of a beer that was first released by Dogfish Head Craft Brewery in 1999 is returning this weekend.

World Wide Stout is a 15-20 percent ABV imperial stout brewed with “a ridiculous amount of barley.” The beer has been an occasional release since its debut, but has also been used as a base for a number of different variants over the years, including Bourbon Barrel-Aged World Wide Stout, Oak-Aged Vanilla World Wide Stout and Port Barrel-Aged World Wide Stout.

According to Dogfish Head’s 2019 release calendar and a post on the brewery’s Twitter page, World Wide Stout 2019 will be packaged in four-packs of 12-ounce bottles that are scheduled to be released at Dogfish Head on April 19 and will be “shipping to distributors next week.”
