A brand new variant of one of Dogfish Head Craft Brewery’s oldest creations has been released.
Bourbon Barrel-Aged World Wide Stout 2019 is a 15-18 percent ABV imperial stout brewed with “a ridiculous amount of barley” that has been aged in barrels that previously held Heaven Hill Distillery bourbon. A version of the barrel-aged stout debuted as a draft-only option in 2013 and uses World Wide Stout as its base, a beer that debuted in 1999.
Just when we thought World Wide Stout couldn’t get any better, our brewers went and aged it on charred oak bourbon barrels from @HeavenHill1935. Available now at our Milton brewery and Rehoboth brewpub! ⚠️ #offcentered #craftbeer pic.twitter.com/V7V6ITU0yX

Dogfish Head has sold multiple variants of its World Wide Stout over the years, including Port Barrel-Aged World Wide Stout and Bourbon Barrel-Aged Vanilla World Wide Stout that was released last year.
According to a post on Dogfish Head’s Twitter page, Bourbon Barrel-Aged World Wide Stout 2019 is now available at both of the brewery’s locations packaged in four-packs of 12-ounce bottles and is scheduled to be shipped to retailers across Dogfish Head’s distribution network starting “next week.”
