A new bottled IPA from Dogfish Head Craft Brewery is a hybrid between beer and wine.

According to a label filed with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), Viniferous IPA is a 6 percent ABV IPA brewed with El Dorado, hallertau blanc and huell melon hops before being fermented on both Riesling and Viognier grape musts and packaged in 12-ounce bottles. A version of the IPA was released as a draft-only option earlier this year, but that incarnation was brewed with Galaxy, hallertau blanc and huell ,elon hops.

The Milton, Del.-based brewery is no stranger to beer/wine hybrids, having released a number of them in the past including Sixty One IPA, Midas Touch and Raison D’être.

An email sent to the brewery for additional information was not immediately returned.
