There are a number of changes to Dogfish Head Craft Brewery’s lineup for next year, including an addition to its year-round releases, some brand new creations and the return of a number of fan favorites.
First, there will be three fan favorites returning to Dogfish Head’s Occasionals Series along with one brand new release:
- American Beauty 2019 (January-December) — Originally released in 2013, this pale ale is brewed with granola and succulent wildflower honey in collaboration with the Grateful Dead and will now be packaged in six-packs of 12-ounce bottles as well as 19.2-ounce cans in certain markets.
- Raison D’Extra (January-April) — A Belgian-style brown ale brewed with an “obscene amount” of malt, brown sugar and raisins.
- World Wide Stout 2019 (May-August) — A 15-20 percent ABV stout brewed with “a ridiculous amount of barley.”
- SuperEIGHT (April-December) — A brand new sessionable gose brewed with eight super ingredients: prickly pear, mango, boysenberry, blackberry, raspberry, elderberry, kiwi juices, toasted quinoa and red Hawaiian sea salt.
Second, the Milton, Del.-based brewery will be adding a beer to its year-round options that might look a little familiar to fans: Liquid Truth Serum IPA, a 7 percent ABV IPA that incorporates four different states of hops: whole leaf, liquefied, pelletized and powdered. The IPA will be available in January packaged in new 12-ounce cans that will join the already available 16-ounce cans.
Next, Dogfish Head’s Off-Centered Art Series releases are “brewed specifically to complement different moments throughout the year”, and each release will feature artwork from the brewery’s 2019 Art Series artist Michael Hacker. While Dragons & YumYums and Punkin Ale remain on the schedule, there will also be two new additions: The Perfect Disguise, a double dry-hopped American IPA brewed with German Chit malt that will ship to retailers in February; and 75 Minute IPA, a 7.5 percent ABV IPA brewed with maple syrup, that is scheduled to be released in November.
Finally, Dogfish head will once again release its Off-Center Your Summer Variety Pack in May, filled with four each of four different beers packaged in 12-ounce cans: 60 Minute IPA, SeaQuench Ale, the brand new SuperEIGHT and a fourth beer to be announced at a later date.
