When de Garde Brewing opens today, there will be two new beers on sale, along with a brewery favorite.
The Tillimook, Ore.-based brewery will be releasing Fauxder (6 percent ABV), a “wild rye ale” fermented and aged in Chardonnay wine barrels and Saison Cinquieme (6 percent ABV), a “wild farmhouse inspired ale” that was fermented and aged in Chardonnay wine barrels before being dry-hopped with Amarillo hops.
In addition, Peach Bu (4.5 percent ABV) a “Berliner inspired ale” which has been fermented and aged in oak barrels with “massive amounts” of Oregon peaches, will be on hand. Peach Bu was released last year.
According to a post on de Garde’s Facebook page, Peach Bu will sell for $9 per bottle, while both Fauxder and Saison Cinquieme will cost $10 each. Each beer is limited to six bottles per person.
