Two new releases from de Garde Brewing are extensions of previous releases.

The first new beer is Desay Deux, a 6.4 percent ABV wild ale aged in oak barrels with referemented raspberries. This will be the tenth beer to carry the Desay moniker that has been bottled:

  • Beaucoup Desay (8.9 percent ABV), a “wild farmhouse ale” aged in Chardonnay oak barrels with peaches and apricots
  • Earl Desay (5.2 percent ABV), a “wild farmhouse ale” aged in oak barrels for over a year with Oregon buckwheat honey and conditioned with Earl Gray tea
  • Fleur Desay (6.3 percent ABV), a “sour farmhouse gruit” aged in Chardonnay oak barrels
  • Petit Desay (5 percent ABV), a “tart farmhouse-style ale”
  • Citrus Desay (6.2 percent ABV), a “tart farmhouse ale” aged in oak barrels with citrus zest and peel
  • Saison Desay (6.3 percent ABV), a “blend of spontaneously fermented wild Saison culled from a mix of Pinot Noir and second use gin barrels”
  • Desay á l’Orange (6.3 percent ABV), a “tart farmhouse ale” aged in gin barrels with citrus
  • Oude Desay (5 percent ABV), a “wild farmhouse blend” composed of three different years of oak barrel and oak tank matured Petit Desay batches
  • Spruce Desay (6.2 percent ABV), a “sour and fruity farmhouse inspired beer” fermented and aged in oak wine barrels which was then blended with a two-year-old “earthy and rustic farmhouse beer”
  • Desay Deux (6.4 percent ABV), a wild ale aged in oak barrels with referemented raspberries

The second new beer is Petit Blanc, a 7.1 percent ABV “tart farmhouse ale” aged in oak barrels with late harvest riesling grapes. The Tillamook, Ore.-based brewery has bottled three previous beers with Blanc in the name, all of which incorporate grapes:

  • Grand Blanc (7.9 percent ABV), a golden rye wild ale aged in oak with riesling grapes
  • Très Grand Blanc (7.9 percent ABV), a golden rye wild ale aged in oak with Riesling grapes before being dry-hopped
  • Imperial Vin Bu: Chenin Blanc (5.5 percent ABV), a berliner weisse-style ale aged in oak barrels with chenin blanc grapes
  • Petit Blanc (7.1 percent ABV), a “tart farmhouse ale” aged in oak barrels with late harvest riesling grapes

According to labels filed with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), both Desay Deux and Petit Blanc will be packaged in 22-ounce bottles. An email sent to the brewery for additional information was not immediately returned.
