Denver-based Crooked Stave will soon be releasing a beer featuring plums, a fruit which is in it’s seasonal apex right now.

According to filings with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), Crooked Stave Artisan Beer Project will soon be bottling and releasing a new beer: Petite Sour Plum.

This 4.5 percent ABV beer is a wild ale aged in oak foeders with California plums. It’s part of the brewery’s ongoing Petite Sours Series and appears to possibly be inspired by an earlier, similar beer the brewery produced in collaboration with Firestone Walker back in 2014 albeit that one had a higher ABV clocking in at 6 percent ABV and was only available on draft.

Petite Sour Plum is set to be packaged in 16-ounce bottles for release across the brewery’s distribution footprint.

An email sent to the brewery for additional information was not immediately returned.
