Creature Comforts Brewing Co. has decided that one new beer release is not enough for fans this weekend.

The Athens, Ga.-based brewery will be releasing Welcome, My Friends, an 11.2 percent ABV imperial stout brewed with roasted almonds, lactose, Ugandan vanilla beans and Brazilian Agua Limpa coffee sourced from 1000 Faces Coffee.

Welcome, My Friends is available this Saturday and we are opening an hour early for the release of this beer as well as The Tree That Owns Itself! Welcome, My Friends is an imperial stout (11.2%) made with almonds, coffee, vanilla, and lactose. Brazilian Agua Limpa coffee from @1000facescoffee introduces the base layer of nut & chocolate notes built upon gobs of roasted almonds and Ugandan vanilla beans. There are 875 bottles available to go at $16.99/bottle. The beer is available for brewery purchase only. The Tree That Owns itself is a bourbon barrel-aged barleywine (12.5%) and is named after an admired landmark in our community of Athens, Ga. It aged more than 2 years in select, small batch bourbon barrels. The bottle limit is 2/guest with 240 bottles available to go at 24.99/bottle. The beer is available for brewery purchase only.

This is the second new beer that Creature Comfort is releasing this weekend, after it announced earlier in the week it would be selling bottles of The Tree That Owns Itself, a 12.5 percent ABV barleywine-style ale that was aged in bourbon barrels for “more than two years.”

According to a post on Creature Comforts Instagram page, Welcome, My Friends will be packaged in 750ml bottles ($16.99) and is being released on Sept. 14 exclusively at the brewery.
