The newest release from Creature Comforts Brewing Co. is named after Jacques-Yves Cousteau’s classic film Le Monde du Silence.
The beer in question is The Silent World, a 5.5 percent ABV black lager brewed with German hops. According to the Athens, Ga.-based brewery $1 per pint sold will be donated to organizations working to fight the wildfires in Sonoma County and “to support relief efforts for those who have suffered losses.”
“The goal for The Silent World is to have a lot of the traditional flavors beer drinkers may be familiar with in a stout: roast, cold brew, dark chocolate, nuttiness, but in a much smoother and lower intensity presentation,” reads a post on Creature Comfort’s website. “The beer is meant to have high drinkability with complex flavors that develop on the palate as the beer warms and you make your way down the pint.”
According to a post on Creature Comforts Facebook page, The Silent World will be packaged in 12-ounce cans and is scheduled to be released at the brewery on Oct. 20.
