This weekend, Creature Comforts Brewing Co. is releasing the sixth incarnation of a barrel-aged imperial stout in one of its most popular series.
That beer is Concurrence Blend No. 6, a 13.9 percent ABV imperial stout aged in Laird’s Apple Brand barrels and conditioned on cinnamon, cocoa nibs and hazelnuts roasted by Condor Chocolates.
The first blend of Concurrence from the Athens, Ga.-based brewery was released on July 20, 2019 and was composed of a blend of stouts aged in four different bourbon barrels conditioned on four pounds of vanilla beans per barrel.
The Concurrence Series is described as a “continued exploration into barrel-aged stouts paired with the finest quality adjunct ingredients.”
