For the first time, Clown Shoes Beer is releasing a New England Exclusive.
Vic Secret Space Cake is a 10 percent ABV double IPA brewed with mosiac hops. The new beer uses the Ipswich, Mass.-based brewery’s Space Cake IPA (9 percent ABV) as it base, but is then dry-hopped with Vic Secret hops from Australia.
“Why are Miracle Mike and his Kangaroo, Boomer, being chased by the blue laser beam shooting cupcakes and two giant layer cake mother ships?” reads the beer label posted on Clown Shoes Facebook page. “Let’s just say it’s an intergalactic walkabout turned ding bat wonky.”
While the original Space Cake was first released in 2014, Clown Shoes brewed Lemon Drop Space Cake (8 percent ABV) in Jan. 2015 for the state of Connecticut, which replaced the mosiac hops in the original Space Cake with lemon drop hops.
According to Clown Shoes, Vic Secret Space Cake will be packaged in 22-ounce bottles and will be available on shelves “early next week.”
