Although it has nothing to do with Billy Joel, Clown Shoes Beer still wants to entertain you with its newest beer.
The Ipswich, Mass.-based brewery will be releasing The Entertainer, a 12 percent ABV imperial red ale dry hopped with simcoe hops while aging in Cabernet wine barrels from California for eight months. The beer is named after Matthew Douglas, a friend of the brewery’s who was asked to model for the label.
“Behold as Mr. Douglas, the one-man Clown Shoes orchestra, entertains the city of Boston with a monkey on his back named Nietzsche,” reads the beer label.
According to a post on Clown Shoes’ Facebook page, The Entertainer will be a Massachusetts-state exclusive release packaged in 22-ounce bottles and will be available in “late June, early July.”
