After aging its Billionaire in two types of cognac barrels, Clown Shoes Beer is switching things up with its newest version.

The new beer is Bluegrass Billionaire, an 11 percent ABV English-style barleywine that has been aged in bourbon barrels. This is the third incarnation of the barleywine, after Billionaire (12 percent ABV) aged in Rémy Martin barrels was released in 2014 and Pierre Ferrand Billionaire (12 percent ABV), which was aged in 30-year-old Pierre Ferrand barrels, and released last year.

According to a post on Clown Shoes’ Facebook page, Bluegrass Billionaire will be packaged in 22-ounce bottles and is scheduled to ship to the brewery’s entire distribution footprint in May.
