A new creation from Clown Shoes Beer might seem a bit familiar to fans of Harpoon Brewery.

The beer is named Leviathan, an 11 percent ABV triple IPA that features “massive hop additions.” In a post on the Boston-based brewery’s Facebook page, the new IPA is a “re-make” of Harpoon’s 10 percent ABV Leviathan triple IPA brewed with Amarillo, Centennial, Chinook and Simcoe hops in the “Clown Shoes style.”

Last year, Harpoon Brewery announced it had purchased Clown Shoes Beer, although the two companies remain independent entities.

According to Clown Shoes, Leviathan triple IPA will be packaged in 16-ounce cans that will be shipping to retailers starting next week.
