Clown Shoes Beer is exorcising another demon with a new release that is shipping this week.
The beer is Exorcism of Rachel Wall, an American imperial stout aged in Jamaican rum barrels with Tahitian vanilla beans.
“Rachel Wall had one hell of a career as a pirate,” reads a post on Clown Shoes’ Facebook page. “She married the man that saved her, made some friends, borrowed a boat, and terrorized merchants throughout New England waters. Her demise eventually came, and now her exorcism has begun.”
This is the forth time that the Ipswich, Mass.-based company has released a beer that uses the Exorcism moniker:
- Exorcism At Sunset (12.5 percent ABV) — imperial stout aged in bourbon barrels released in 2014
- Breakfast Exorcism (11 percent ABV) — imperial stout aged in rye barrels with Kalledevarapura espresso from India released in May 2015
- Amandine Exorcism (12 percent ABV) — imperial stout aged in bourbon barrels that were infused with almond liqueur sourced from Grand Ten Distilling in Boston released in Feb. 2016
- Exorcism of Rachel Wall — American imperial stout aged in rum barrels with vanilla beans
According to a post on Clown Shoes’ Facebook page, Exorcism of Rachel Wall will be a Massachusetts exclusive release that is shipping this week.
