Clown Shoes Beer is starting the new year off by shipping a beer that might look a little familiar to fans.

That creation is Ride the Lion 2019, an 11 percent ABV wee heavy-style ale aged in bourbon barrels. The ale debuted in 2014 and there has been at least one variant released: Ride the Wendigo, a wee heavy-style ale aged for 10 months in Pierre Ferrand cognac barrels that was shipped in 2015 exclusively in the state of Minnesota.

According to the Boston-based brewery’s Facebook page, Ride the Lion 2019 will be shipping to retailers this month.

An email sent to the brewery for additional information was not immediately returned.
