The state of Massachusetts is no stranger to Clown Shoes beer and this week it will get a new one.
The Ipswich, Mass.-based company’s new beer is Amandine Exorcism, an imperial stout that has been aged in bourbon barrels that were infused with almond liqueur sourced from Grand Ten Distilling in Boston. The imperial stout uses, Exorcism At Sunset (12.5 percent ABV), which was released in 2014.
Like Exorcism At Sunset, bottles of the new Amandine Exorcism will only be sold in the state of Massachusetts. Unlike the base beer, kegs of Amandine Exorcism will be shipped to accounts in Connecticut, Georgia, Indiana, Louisiana, Michigan, Oklahoma and New York.
The word Amandine refers to a French culinary term that indicates a product has been garnished with almonds.
According to a post on Clown Shoes Beer’s Twitter page, Amandine Exorcism is packaged in 22-ounce bottles, with 240 cases that will begging shipping to accounts in Massachusetts starting this week.
