The next Texas-only release from Clown Shoes Beer will be bourbon barrel-aged.

The Ipswich, Mass.-based brewed will be releasing A Fistfull of Unidragon, a 14 percent ABV Russian imperal stout that uses The Good, The Bad and the Unidragon as its base before aging it in bourbon barrels. In addition, the new beer is brewed with mesquite smoked malt from Texas-based Blackland Malt company.

“A West Texas Town, terrorized by depraved outlaws, hired The Artist and his Smitty-Fored Unidragon Hand Canon,” reads the beer label. “The Artist, while emo and a bit sensitive, gets rough with bad guys, so we went ahead and incinerated them.”

A Fistfull of Unidragon is the second Texas-only release for Clown Shoes, following The Good, The Bad and the Unidragon Russian imperial stout (14 percent ABV) in September.

According to a post on the brewery’s Facebook page, A Fistfull of Unidragon will be a Texas-only release sold in 22-ounce bottles, and will be available “this Spring.” An email to the brewery asking for price and release details was not immediately returned.
