Clown Shoes Beer is paying homage to a friend of the company with a new release.
The new beer is Zebra John, a 8 percent ABV double IPA brewed with Mosaic hops as well as mango and pink guava that commemorates Johnathan Myer, who is the sales manager of Crafty Connoisseurs Distributing. This is not the first time the Ipswich, Mass.-based brewery has commemorated a specific person with a beer, as Tony The Emperor Of The Equator (10.5 percent ABV) triple IPA is being produced to honor Tony Villarreal, who is the brewery’s brand manger for the state of Texas.
According to a label filed with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), Zebra John will be packaged in 22-ounce bottles. An email sent to the brewery for additional information was not immediately returned.
