Clown Shoes Beer has announced its year-round releases for 2018 and there are a couple of new beers on the list as well as some new packaging for fan favorites.

Starting this month, the Boston-based company will be giving Undead Party Crasher imperial stout, Galactica double IPA and Space Cake double IPA a new look by selling them in four-packs of 16-ounce cans. The cans of both Undead Party Crasher and Galactica will be replacing the existing 22-ounce bottles that they have been previously packaged in, while Space Cake will be offered in both packaging options.

In addition, there will be a new year-round release packaged in four-packs of 12-ounce cans named Bubble Farm, an IPA that is still in pilot production but is scheduled to be available at retailers starting in April.

“We used Idaho 7, Azzaca, and Simcoe hops but that may change as we get feedback and make tweaks,” said Bryan Doran, director of sales and development at Clown Shoes, in an email to Tenemu. “It is going to be around 7 percent ABV. The beer is designed as an easy drinking IPA with a balance of bitterness and tropical and citrus fruit flavors.”

Finally, Clown Shoes will be adding The Train I Ride to its year-round lineup starting this month packaged in 22-ounce bottles. The 11 percent ABV triple IPA  dry-hopped with Columbus, Galaxy and Mosaic hops debuted in December 2017 to commemorate the company’s eighth anniversary in business.

According to Doran, Clown Shoes will be announcing its limited, specialty and state-exclusive releases at a later date.
