On Monday, Cigar City Brewing will once again release Double Barrel Hunahpu’s.

The beer will remain an 11 percent ABV imperial stout conditioned on Peruvian cacao nibs, ancho and pasilla chiles, cinnamon and Madagascar vanilla beans. After brewing, half of the final beer was aged in brandy barrels and the other half was aged in rum barrels before both were blended together and bottled. The beer is based on the brewery’s extremely popular Hunahpu’s Imperial stout.

Double Barrel Hunahpu’s is being released to members of Cigar City’s El Catador club, which started in 2013 and is composed of five different barrel-aged beers per year.

According to an email sent to the Tampa, Fla.-based brewery’s El Catador members, this year’s incarnation of Double Barrel Hunahpu’s imperial stout will be packaged in 750ml bottles and will have a limit of either one or two bottles depending on membership level, with the first pickup starting at the brewery on Sept. 26.
