This month, a former brewery exclusive release from Cigar City Brewing will be making the jump to distribution.
The Tampa, Fla.-based brewery will be releasing Marshal Zhukov’s Penultimate Push Imperial Stout, an imperial stout brewed with coffee beans and vanilla that uses Cigar City’s Marshal Zhukov’s Imperial Stout as its base. The stout debuted in bottles as a brewery exclusive release last year.
According to the beer label, Marshal Zhukov’s Penultimate Push is “dedicated to Georgy Zhukov, arguably one of the finest generals of World War II. Specifically, it is dedicated to the push by Zhukov’s 1st Belorussian Front of the Red Army through the German-occupied territory of East Prussia in early 1945, setting the stage for the Red Army’s final maneuver into Berlin to end the war.”
Cigar City’s 2017 Release Calendar indicates that the newest version of Marshal Zhukov’s Penultimate Push will be packaged in 22-ounce bottles and is scheduled to ship to retailers across the brewery’s distribution network this month.
