A variant for one of Cigar City Brewing’s most popular IPAs is joining the brewery’s seasonal lineup this summer.

That beer is Spanish Cedar Jai Alai, a 7.5 percent ABV IPA brewed with Amarillo, Cascade, Centennial, CTZ, Motucka and Simcoe hops before Spanish cedar is added post-fermentation. As the name suggests, the base beer is the Tampa-based brewery’s Jai Alai IPA, a year-round release named after a competitive game native to the Basque region of Spain.

According to a post on Cigar City’s website, Spanish Cedar Jai Alai IPA will be packaged in four-packs of 12-ounce cans that are scheduled to be available at retailers across the brewery’s distribution network from July through September.
