Yesterday, Cigar City Brewing released the latest version of its annual winter beer, Sugar Plum.
The recipe for Sugar Plum changes every year and this year’s version is being billed as a white winter ale. The addition of plums, coffee, cinnamon, and cacao nibs is said to give this year’s Sugar Plum some porter characteristics, although it pours clear.
According to Russel Breslow, social media manager for Cigar City, Sugar Plum will have an ABV of 7 percent, 32 IBUs and will be available in 22-ounce bottles.
Sugar Plum will be available starting next week throughout Florida and will have a more localized presence in Birmingham and Philadelphia. For those looking to get some from the tap room before it hits store shelves, it is $12 per bottle bottle and there is a six bottle limit.
