The newest member of Cigar City Brewing’s Capricho Oscuro Series is now being sold at the brewery’s tasting room.

Capricho Oscuro #7 is a 12.1 percent ABV imperial stout that is composed of a blend of stouts aged in three different types of barrels: cognac, rum and sherry. The stout is the seventh release in the Tampa-based brewery’s Capricho Oscuro Series, which translates into dark whim from Spanish and is made up of beers “meant to reflect the product of our brewers’ ‘dark whim’ of blending various beers and barrels together.”

The series debuted in 2014 with Capricho Oscuro #1 and the most recent release was Capricho Oscuro #6 in 2016, a blend of a bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout, a bourbon barrel-aged Belgian-style dark ale, a brandy barrel-aged double nut brown ale and a bourbon barrel-aged Baltic porter.

According to an email from Cigar City, Capricho Oscuro #7 is packaged in 750ml bottles and is on sale at the brewery’s taproom now.

An email sent to the brewery for additional information was not immediately returned.
