Cigar City Brewing is canning a release that is more dessert than beer.
According to a label filed with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), the Tampa, Fla.-based brewery will be canning Oatmeal Raisin Cookie, a 5.5 percent ABV brown ale brewed with raisins and vanilla with cinnamon added. The beer uses Cigar City’s Maduro English-style brown ale (5.5 percent ABV) as its base, and was first released as a draft-only option in 2010.
Oatmeal Raisin Cookie will be packaged in 12-ounce cans. An email sent to the brewery for additional information was not immediately returned.
