Just six months after opening its 2018 El Catador Club up to the public, Cigar City Brewing is allowing current members to renew for 2019.

As with last year’s membership, there are two different packages available for the tenth incarnation of the El Catador Club, both of which include the same beers. The first package is priced at $250 and includes only one of each barrel-aged beer while the second package is priced at $500 includes two bottles of each release.

However, while the beers included in the 2018 version of the club were made up of seven different barrel-aged creations brewed in collaboration with different breweries, this year’s seven different creations will pay homage to the brewery’s 10th anniversary.

“We are looking at some of the beers that we have created over the years (both in the club and in general) and have found several beers to re-explore or re-interpret,” reads an email sent to current members. “We’re also excited to introduce some ambitious new recipes to our El Catador Club members.”

According to the brewery, members will also get a 20 percent discount in Cigar City’s tasting room and a club-exclusive gift. In addition, “additional benefits and rewards will be announced as the club develops but rest assured that El Catador Club members will have access to exclusive events and beer not offered to the general public.”

Finally, members can choose to pick up their bottles at either Cigar City’s taproom in Tampa or at the Oskar Blues taproom in Boulder, Colo. and the brewery is allowing trustees to pick up member’s allotments.

Fireman Capital has ownership stakes in both Oskar Blues and Cigar City.
